BlueCap offers a comprehensive implementation of CentralManager and PeripheralManager Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionalities, including support for several standard GATT profiles. It also provides tailored implementations for the Texas Instruments SensorTag and Nordic Semiconductor BLE chips. The library features a BLE scanner capable of operating in promiscuous mode or targeting specific services, effectively recognizing and interpreting services offered by peripherals using standard GATT profiles, with appropriate serialization and deserialization of data.

In peripheral mode, BlueCap facilitates the emulation of all included GATT profiles as well as iBeacon functionality. Its iBeacon ranging mode allows for the configuration and monitoring of beacon regions, making it suitable for proximity-based applications and testing scenarios.
